Conveniently located on Route 326 in Auburn, NY, Oakwood Service Center was originally established as a Cities Services Gas Station in 1934. The business was purchased by Bob Bower in 1973 and turned into an auto repair shop and fuel distributorship through the gas crisis of the 1970s. Since then, the business has continued to grow, so we can better serve our customers from across Central New York.
Our towing division began in 1975 with one tow truck and has expanded to a fleet of nine, well-maintained, well-running and fully equipped tow trucks. The three concrete bays used for the body shop were added in 1986. Another 6,000 sq. ft. of repair shop was added to the back of the building in 2001, giving us the ability to service motor homes and large trucks. Our large parts room was added in 2004. We are proud to carry quality parts and products from ACDelco, Mobil Oil, and Bosch.
Bob's son, Mike, joined the family business after graduating college and has been working in every area of the company ever since. You can find Bob and Mike at the counter, in the shop or out with a tow truck on a daily basis.
